Our  EU Timber Regulation Compliance Statement
Our Statement of Responsible purchasing & Compliance with the Timber Legality Legislation at Matchboard Ltd.
The EU Timber Regulation 955/2010 is legislation (since March 2013) that prohibits the importation and trade of illegally logged timber and timber products within the EU.
We are committed to purchasing all our products from legal sources and seek evidence of compliance from suppliers that they are operating in accordance with the laws of their country.
To lower risk further, we have an active policy to purchase FSC® certified products where possible and are members of a credible FSC® scheme.
We are subjected to third-party assessments/audits, where our due diligence and Chain of Custody systems are thoroughly checked and signed off annually. 
We consider FSC® as a credible certification scheme for supply in those countries where good governance and forest regulation supports sustainable forestry.
We welcome participation of all our audits and will provide designated authorities access to all required information whenever needed. Therefore, with Matchboard Ltd purchases being FSC® certified, our products can be purchased with confidence and provide peace of mind to our stockists and the end user.
